Merino Properties turns into Advantages for Cyclists clothes

Merino is simply the best fabrics in the world!! Why?

Comfort and performance

The Merino fiber is a natural material coming from animal and has low impact on environment.
Its structure makes it unique and valuable for the end users (cyclists) as its properties combine comfort and high performance.

Merino Wool Fiber vs synthetic fiber and traditionnal Fiber

Traditional wool fiber, superfine and complex Merino fiber , synthetic fiber

The Merino fiber is not itchy result of its 18.8µm diameter (2 times smaller than a standard wool fibre). This wool fiber is superfine, the user can wear it next to the skin.

Its structure is much more complex and offer more properties than synthetic fibers that no extra-treatment can bring.

Some advantages for cyclists

High performance by keeping the heart rate lower

A recent study from University of Otago (NZ) has shown that a garment in Merino is able to enhance the performance of athlete by keeping the heart rate lower than a garment made of polyster. This can be done by the regulation of the temperature and the moisture of the micro-climate between the skin and the garment.

The test was conducted in hot and cold conditions, proving that the Merino can be worn in Winter but also in Summer!

Explanations of these advantages

Renewable, Natural and environmental : Performant Merino Wool

The Merino wool is a material that is renewable as sheeps are shorn at the end of summer. Using wool in our garment is a sustainable way and environmental friendly.

Anti-microbial fabrics : Keep your top not the odor

No pre- or post-treatment makes merino fibers anti-microbial. The scaly and neutrally charged fiber surface is not an ideal media for the growth of bacteria.

Multi-environment : Warm and cold

Wool is a good insulator material thanks to small pocket air trapped: People wear wool during cold weather to be kept warm. In the Sahara, the Bedouins wear also a thin wool layer to keep them cool

Layer or not : keep the breathability

To many times, we see people wearing non breathable jacket... because there are cold.
Layering merino allow to be hold warmer while keeping a high breathability.
